Hard Facts  The hard drives that are used in all of the computers that we use today will probably not be in service 5 years from now.  These drives are manufactured using a magnetic storage procress that degrades as you use the drive.  The typical life expectancy of a hard drive is usually between 1 to 3 years and many fail even before reaching the 1 year mark.

Do you know the difference between a drive backup and a drive image?  Most computer users don't know the difference between the two.  A drive backup will only provide copies of your important data but a drive image will duplicate every file on hard drive including the operating system and all programs.  Which would you prefer to have during a recovery?  AVS will provide a complete image of your hard drive on DVD's that you can store in a safe place.  These images can even be used on new hardware if the machine is damaged beyond repair.

How much is your data worth? Over the past few years we have helped many of our customers recover from some serious crashes.  We have found that if you do nothing until the crash occurs it will cost between $400 and $2000 to recover your lost data.  Our expertise in this area has lead us to conclude that the best way to prepare for these crashes is to have a full image taken of your hard drive.  This image can be used after a crash to fully restore the hard drive to its original state even after a catastrophic hard drive failure or other catastrophe.  Our recovery technicians can usually have your machine back in service in hours instead of days.
